AMBUSH®︎ AW2022 COLLECTION

A radiant sphere alights on a lunar beach for the AMBUSH® AW22 campaign, captured by Harley Weir and styled by Carlos Nazario.

The photographer shot the collection and its otherworldly set after the show, the brand’s first runway presentation at Milan Fashion Week and a turning point for the house.

Heaped pink quartz sand was chosen for the runway floor, a material reminiscent of some of the more surreal sights of the natural world – a salt lake or a dune blown by the wind. Upon it rests the huge, illuminated globe, suggesting a planet crashed to earth or an alien vessel. The globe is lit up in an array of colors like the phases of the moon or the setting of the sun, hinting at a passage of time and space.
While the imagery may be extra-terrestrial, the message is that the most otherworldly scenes are right here on earth. The AW22 campaign is a return from off-planet travels to the wonder of the world we can make with our own hands, right here.
