The Museum of Modern Art has commissioned AMBUSH® to create a piece for an exhibition to taking place this Fall. “Items: Is Fashion Modern?”, MoMa’s first exhibition dedicated to fashion since 1944, is an investigation of 111 garments and accessories that have had a profound effect on the world over the last century. ‘Items’ included in the exhibition include Levi’s 501 Jeans, Nike Air Force 1s, and Chanel No. 5 as well as iconic clothes and accessories ranging from kilts and flip-flops to speedos, spanks and the little black dress.

About 30 of these items will be complemented by a new prototype, a commissioned or loaned piece inspired by advancements in technology, social dynamics, aesthetics, or political awareness. MoMA asked AMBUSH® to take on the Cartier Love Bracelet —reimagining its iconic design for how we live today. See the prototype at the exhibition which opens October 1st, 2017 and read about the AMBUSH® BRACELET at WGSN.com.

AMBUSH®'s YOON collaborated with UNDERCOVER's Jun Takahashi on jewelry for the Spring / Summer 2018 UNDERCOVER collection "JANUS" shown during Paris Fashion Week.

Thorn necklaces weeped teardrops of blood and wrapped around wrists as bracelets. Earrings and rings came in the form of oversized 'deflated 'Pearls, rose motifs adding touches of dark romanticism to compliment the collection.

The pieces will feature in UNDERCOVER's runway show during Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo on Friday, October 20th. See the full collection at vogue.com

"“BROW BAR SUNGLASSES TURN POP ART” MYKITA teams up with cult design label AMBUSH® to create an extraordinary piece. The resulting sunglass frame VERBAL exudes all the independent mindedness and willingness to push the envelope that both brands are known for. “We met Verbal and Yoon in 2010 and soon knew that we wanted to work on something together,” says MYKITA creative director and founder Moritz Krueger. “The final product is based on a simple, but radical idea: to turn reality on its head. The design of the glasses is a play on gravity, the upside-down lenses seem to be balancing the brow bar.” The creative force behind the conceptual accessories and clothing label AMBUSH® is Tokyo-based fashion power couple, Verbal and Yoon. As avid collectors of MYKITA frames, the hip-hop artist and graphic designer are long time friends of the MYKITA HAUS. “The bold designs, the materials, and the unique colourways. The selection of collaborators struck a chord with me as well,” says Verbal about his penchant for MYKITA. “For our collaborative effort with MYKITA, we wanted to make sure that the designs were unique and representative combinations of our aesthetic direction.” The inverted perspective of VERBAL turns the world upside down. Reversed mirrored lenses present an upside down view to the world. Made of stainless steel, a hefty top bar sits atop round rims creating an industrial, geometric aesthetic evoking memories of toy blocks. Or in Verbal’s own words: “Brow bar sunglasses turn pop art"". Featuring AMBUSH®’s signature colours, VERBAL comes in Shiny Black / Black with Reverse Black lenses, Gold / Red with Reverse Gold and Silver / Blue with Reverse Silver. MYKITA + AMBUSH® model VERBAL pre-launches in Tokyo this November at the MYKITA Shop Tokyo, the AMBUSH® WORKSHOP and mykita.com with more stores to follow."
